Hal Brierley - Chairman
Hal is one of the most innovative and respected strategic thinkers in the field of loyalty marketing. Graduating Harvard Business School in 1968, he co-founded and served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Epsilon Data Management, one of the nation's leading database marketing companies. In 1980, Hal was retained as the only outside consultant to work on the design of American Airlines AAdvantage®, the first frequent flyer program. In 1982, he became Vice President of Sales and Advertising for Pan American World Airways, where he launched WorldPass®, Pan Am's frequent traveler program. In 1983, he was named Senior Vice President of Marketing for Continental Airlines. He founded Brierley+Partners in 1985 and has led the company through more than two decades of successful growth.
David L. Anderson
A member of the Board since 1998, Dave is a Managing Director of Sutter Hill Ventures, a Palo Alto, California-based venture capital firm which has financed technology-based start-ups and assisted entrepreneurs in building market-leading companies since 1964. Dave joined the firm in 1971 from Watkins Johnson Company, where he worked in their Solid State Division. Dave graduated in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1966, and received his MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration in 1968.
Gene is a retired corporate executive who served as President & CEO of Idine Rewards Network Inc., America's largest operator of transaction based consumer rewards and loyalty programs, from 1998 through 2002. Prior to Idine, Mr. Gene Henderson was President & CEO of DIMAC Marketing Corporation, a full-service integrated direct marketing company headquartered in St. Louis but operating from eight locations throughout the United States. Prior to DIMAC, he spent almost 20 years at Epsilon Data Management, Inc., leading database marketing. During his tenure at Epsilon, Gene served in many positions of leadership including Chief Operating Officer from 1995 to 1998. Gene earned a baccalaureate degree from Coe College and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Ben serves as the Board's Corporate Secretary. He joined Brierley+Partners in 1990 and currently serves as COO as well as the senior account management officer for the firm's most tenured and largest client. He also serves as General Manager of Brierley's fulfillment and lettershop division and is a Director of Brierley Europe Ltd. His career experience includes six years as Senior Vice President, Marketing at Rapp Collins Worldwide and 12 years at Continental Airlines, where he held various marketing and advertising positions. Ben is a graduate of the University of Houston School of Business.
As Chief Executive Officer of The Mullen Company since 1981, Dick has over 40 years experience in commercial real estate consulting. He is a past President of the Dallas Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA), a member of the World Presidents Organization and has served as a Board member of BancTexas, Texas Commerce Bank, and Sixx Holdings. Dick has been a member of the Brierley+Partners Board of Directors almost two decades and served as Chairman in 2007. Dick is a graduate of Southern Methodist University.
Robert W. Semple
Current Chairman, Tarrant County, Bank of Texas and former Chairman and CEO of Worth Bancorporation, Bob has a long history of success in banking. He served in various leadership positions in the BankOne organization from 1977 through 1998. Bob also spent five years with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. He currently serves the Texas Christian University (TCU) Neely School of Business as an Advisory Board member and is President of the Fort Worth Club. Other Board affiliations include the Independent Bankers Capital Fund, Downtown Fort Worth Inc., Southwest Exposition and Livestock Show, and the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award Foundation. He is past Chairman of All Saints Health System, Fort Worth, Chairman Downtown Fort Worth, Inc., Chapter President for West Texas Chapter of Young Presidents. Bob is a graduate of Texas Christian University.
Jim Sturm is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Brierley & Partners, Inc. and leads the globally recognized company in loyalty and CRM marketing. Jim joined Brierley in January 2007, and since joining, Jim has been instrumental in establishing new client relationships across the spectrum of Brierley's CRM and loyalty services. Additionally, he has expanded the company's service offerings - most notably, the LoyaltyWareTM suite of technology solutions. With a focus on technology productization and a full suite of marketing professional services, Jim has driven a culture of trusted advisor leadership throughout the Brierley team. With a spirit of innovation and change, Jim has driven double-digit growth and a reputation for creating industry-differentiating customer engagement programs for our clients. Jim's passion for helping our clients achieve their goals and creating an atmosphere of fun in the workplace is making Brierley a unique experience.
Prior to Brierley, Jim spent over 20 years with Electronic Data Systems, an industry leader providing a broad portfolio of Business Process Management and Technology solutions. Jim was responsible for Client Service Excellence, providing innovative solutions for major clients and ensuring client satisfaction. He also played a major role in developing and leading EDS's client loyalty program. Earlier in his tenure with EDS, he served as Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Jim holds a degree in Business Administration, Finance and Management Information Systems from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Bill has been a member of the Brierley Board of Directors since 2002 and is Vice President - Finance, WPP Group USA Inc., a minority stockholder of Brierley+Partners. Bill has extensive experience in the advertising industry and has served in an executive corporate role at WPP Group for 18 years, working with numerous WPP companies on a day-to-day basis and sitting on the boards of many minority investments. Bill is a CPA who worked at Arthur Andersen & Co., with clients in the advertising, consumer products, financial service, and nonprofit industries. He holds a BA in computer science from Columbia University, and an MBA from the Columbia Business School.
